Industrial flow measuring instruments have diversified types. When using industrial instruments, people choose to use different instruments and equipment according to different application environments. Users are often confused about various instruments that are seemingly similar but actually different. For example, turbine flow meters and vortex flow meters, which are often mistaken by companies. So, what are the differences between them?
Vortex flow meter is mainly used for flow measurement of industrial pipeline fluids, such as gas, liquid, vapor and other media. It is characterized by small pressure loss, large measuring range, and high accuracy. It is hardly affected by fluid density, pressure, temperature, viscosity and other parameters when measuring volume flow under working conditions. There are no movable mechanical parts inside it, so it has great reliability, hardly needs maintenance, and the instrument parameters can be stable for a long time.
Turbine flow meter is widely used in some of the following measurement objects: petroleum, organic liquid, inorganic liquid, liquefied gas, natural gas, coal gas, cryogenic fluid and so on. It is simple in structure, few in processing parts, light in weight, convenient in maintenance, large in flow capacity (large flow through the same caliber) and is adaptable to high parameters (high temperature, high pressure and low temperature), etc.
Turbine flow meter is an instrument that uses a multi-blade rotor (turbine) to measure the average flow rate of a fluid and thereby calculate the flow rate or total flow rate. And the turbine meter accuracy is very important.
The vortex flow meter is designed and manufactured according to the Karman vortex principle. The principle of fluid oscillation is used to measure flow. When the fluid passes through the vortex conveyor in the pipeline, the triangular column vortex generator alternately generates two rows of vortices in proportion to the flow. The release frequency of the vortex generator is related to the average velocity of the fluid flowing through the vortex generator and the characteristics of the vortex generator.
The turbine flow meter cuts off the magnetic induction line through the rotation of the impeller, and then measures the output flow through signal processing.
The vortex flow meter adopts a flow measurement method that processes the output signal by detecting the Karman vortex street.
